A passion to help…
Dr. Carolyn McClinton is a board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has 8 years of experience as a PMHNP and FNP and 21 years of experience as an RN.
She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialty of Family. It was working as an FNP that she discovered the need for mental health when she was taking care of patients while working in Long-term care, Juvenile and Dentition facilities, and the Correction system. Due to vulnerability of this population and lack of resources is where she developed the passion to help all people who need mental health care. which is why she went back to school and completed a Doctor of Nursing from the University of North Florida with an emphasis on mental health.
She works with families and Individuals across the lifespan by helping them to achieve their behavior and mental health goals through Psychotropic medication management and Psychotherapy promoting a healthier well-being
